Bill Nolan has been in the field of fire and explosion origin and cause determination since 1990. He is a Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI), Certified Fire Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI) and a Certified Marine Investigator (CMI). Affiliations include MAMC, IAMI, IAAI (PA, FLA, NY & NJ chapters), ABYC, NAFI, NFPA, AMI and the US Power Squadron. During his career he has testified as an expert witness on numerous occasions. With over 3300 fire incidents investigated Bill has proven to be a reliable, experienced, honest investigator with great integrity. Bill has had the opportunity to assist and conduct extensive live burn demonstrations at several training facilities and spoke at several training seminars. He has taught marine classes for IAAI and IAMI and is part of the team that is revamping the NFPA 921 marine chapter. He has traveled around the world to investigate the origin and cause of fires and examined hundreds of marine related fire incidents, including freighters, commercial and recreational vessels, terminals and marinas. Bill currently owns and operates his own company, Fire Origin & Cause Unlimited Services, Inc. in Holbrook, NY which he opened in November 2011.

John Dempsey is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators. John has been conducting in depth investigations for Fire Origin & Cause Unlimited Services, Inc. since 2013. It is noteworthy to state that John has a significant background in the Auto Mechanic field, giving him a unique knowledge behind the investigative approach. John conducts interviews, performs debris removal, scene reconstruction and burn pattern analysis to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions. He also has experience in evidence procurement, retention, and inspection, along with the ability to prepare concise reports, a skill set that has proven him to be an intrinsic asset to our team. Tyler Richman is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and an Evidence Collection Technician (ECT). He handles the evidence collection while assisting in investigating cause and origin work at F.O.C.U.S. He is a graduate from the University of New Haven with a bachelors in Fire/ Arson Investigation along with a minor in Criminal Justice. Tyler is an active volunteer fire fighter and has been since 2018. Along with being a firefighter he is also a NYS Rescue Swimmer Technician. Kayla McKenna is the Office Manager at Fire Origin & Cause Unlimited Services. She attended Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn as well as Nassau Community College on Long Island. Kayla has been working at F.O.C.U.S. since December 2020. Her duties include office correspondence via phone and email, setting up and scheduling new jobs, editing reports, organizing the office & more!
